Agreement between The Leading Dog Company and The Client

The Leading Dog Company and The Client both agree to behave in a professional and responsible manner at all times. Any behaviour that is deemed unacceptable by either party will result in an immediate termination of the working relationship.

The Leading Dog Company acknowledges that they have an important duty of care to all of the dogs entrusted in their care, and will ensure that The Clients' dog is cared for with the highest possible care.

The Client understands that The Leading Dog Company is unable to work with any dogs whose behaviour could jeopardise the enjoyment of other dogs at the centre. Dogs who show any aggressive or antisocial behaviour will have their day at the centre terminated with immediate effect.

The Client understands that The Leading Dog Company will not work with any dog that has a history of aggression towards other dogs or humans. The Client must also understand that they have an obligation to alert The Leading Dog Company of any specific incidents of aggression or changes in behaviour during their ongoing relationship.

The Leading Dog Company will not accept any un-castrated dogs over the age of 1 year old, or any bitches that are in season, and/ or have not be spayed after their first season.

The Client gives permission that their dog will be walked off the lead around other dogs.

The Client agrees to ensure that their dog is up-to-date with vaccinations (including kennel cough), flee treatment and worming.

The Client understands that it is a legal requirement that their dog is micro-chipped, and wears a collar with an ID tag at all times.

The Leading Dog Company agrees to maintain an insurance policy, which includes public liability as well as any veterinary fees incurred in the unlikely event that The Leading Dog Company is found to be negligent.

The Client understands that whilst The Leading Dog Company has strict rules and procedures in place to ensure the safety of all dogs and humans on site, they will not be held responsible for any injuries incurred due to events outside of their control. It is therefore strongly recommended that The Client purchases their own pet insurance policy.

The Client grants permission that in the event of injury, The Leading Dog Company has the right to take the dog to a vet of their choice and allow the vet to administer any medication or treatments needed. The Client also agrees that, in accordance with these terms and conditions, they (The Client) will cover any costs incurred.

The Leading Dog Company asks that The Client understand that dogs displaying any signs of illness will not be able to attend the Day Care Centre. This includes vomiting, diarrhoea, skin disorders, and coughing. The Client understands that if they fail to inform The Leading Dog Company of any obvious signs of illness prior to arrival they will be charged the full amount.

The Client understands the importance of allowing their dog time to go to the loo in the morning prior to being picked up by The Leading Dog Company.

The Client will ensure that all bookings are made by text or email. The Client understands that the booking is not confirmed until a reply message has been received.

The Client understands that changes/ cancellations to regular bookings must be done so via email or text.

The Client understands that, due to the limited number of spaces available, The Leading Dog Company operates a 24 hour cancellation policy.

The Client understands that their dog's safety and wellbeing is of the upmost importance to The Leading Dog Company. If The Leading Dog Company feels that the safety of the dogs is compromised by extreme weather conditions (temperatures that exceed 30 degrees celsius or heavy snowfall) it may decide to temporarily close for the day. The Leading Dog Company will insure that clients receive a text by 5am on the day in question.

The Leading Dog Company will endeavour to return dogs in as clean a state as possible, using the hot shower to rinse off the majority of mud. However The Client understands that dogs will not be spotless during the winter months.

The Client agrees to either supply The Leading Dog Company with a key to their house or ensure that they are home between their scheduled pick up or drop off time.

The Leading Dog Company agrees to send each Client an invoice by email on the last day of the month.

The Client will make sure that their account is settled within 5 working days of receiving their monthly invoice.

The Client understands that if they repeatedly settle invoices late, they will be asked to pay for future bookings in advance.

The Client agrees to settle any outstanding amounts prior to the end of their relationship with The Leading Dog Company.

The Client must agree to these terms and conditions by completing the below form prior to their dog attending the day care centre.
